Would You Hire Me?

I don't know if you noticed, but they didn't touch at all in the photos because they are waiting till they are married to touch, so I had to try to get creative to fool the eye a little and make it look like they were showing affection. :) They may be young, but they are really in love, and I think the photos demonstrate that. I tried to have a variety of shots that range from halfway serious to just fun, so let me know what you think. These are a couple of my fav edited shots. (I have over 100 to give them, but I figured I'd just post a few!) ;)

When we get settled in Texas once Ryan gets back, I'm thinking of doing this on the side, so wondering if I have what it takes, would you hire me? ;)

(I'm not seriously trying to drum up business right now, but just trying to get a general idea of what people think!) ;)

SURE! GREAT PHOTOS!
Listen, I see a LOT of photographs being in the framing business and you definitely can make money doing this. Lately, there have been quite a few photos not showing the faces, too...head to head, shoulder to shoulder, looking at a sunset....or nose to nose silhouettes.....Get ready to snap photos on hay bales in Texas!
Can't wait until y'all arrive! Barb

Wow, those are amazing! You really have an eye for that sort of thing. I'd hire you in an instant (that is, if I had any money, lol. Spend too much on yarn!)

I would most definitely hire you, but then again, since you're my sister, I would expect you to do it for free!! :O Seriously, these pics are phenomenal. They are going to flip over them--if they haven't already. So many of them were so creative and looked natural...

Good job!

Thanks everyone for the positive response! :) I haven't heard Dan's response, but Sarah was in love with them, so I was really pleased. I definitely think I am going to pursue this when I get settled down, so yay for having some idea of what to do with my life! ;)

B, those are some seriously great shots....especially considering the "no touching" rule! You honestly have a talent for photography and could probably make some serious money if you ever wanted to do it full time. Thanks for taking me back down memory lane with those two :-) Heather C

Hi - you probably don't know me either, ... but I remember you from ABC... anyway, I visit your blog every once in a great while b/c I also love your photos (Eli's SOOOOOO CUTE!) and every now and then Renee mentions you for this or that. I think you have a phenomenal gift. You take exceptional photographs and I always love how you leave some things in color while making the rest black and white/brown, etc. I would definitely hire you to take pics for us! Best wishes!

What a beautiful couple & beautiful commitment to each other! You did an incredibly excellent job!!! You are a top notch photog! One of the Moms at the kids' playschool does freelance photog & she came to the school one day & took candids of all the kids for us to purchase from her. They were excellent, reasonably priced, and we didn't have to get them all dressed up & posed! So, hit up some preschools & day cares down in TX.

B.A., I have always been amazed at your talent! I love checking out your My Space, what you have done there could be a good business too. People just don't have time to put their pics in any kind of order. I feel assured when you get to Texas you will be able to keep yourself as busy as you want to.

Thank you for the information. I knew there are some that are expensive and if I like editing the pictures with a cheaper program and can master it maybe I can justify getting the more expensive. I have several pictures of Bricen that I would like to turn black and white and add some tint in for like his blue shirt and blue eyes. I will need a book for dummies. LOL. I really like how you have done a collage of pictures too. Does the cheaper version of photoshop do both of those? My husband bought me a really nice camera a year and a half ago and I love taking pictures but havent done much editing. So I would love to start that as well! Thank you so much for you help! Your little one is adorable!!!

I forgot to mention that Bondi saw these, too, and said:

"OH Mom, now she can take our three generation picture when they move here!"

So, you are hired!

Love, Barb

truly creative, amazing pictures! you definitely have talent. and it just keeps getting better.

in spite of the "no touching" thing, you actually did excellent work making them seem warm and affectionate. =D a mark of someone who knows what they're doing.

no challenge is too big now! (except maybe children and pets? ha!) keep it up!
