Eli laughing fun!

Well, as y'all know, I am moving this week so I put Eli in his swing so I could try to get some things done. I had a plastic trash bag in my hand and when I crumpled it up he laughed. I kept on doing it and he just laughed harder and harder. After a couple minutes I pulled out a camera and thought y'all would enjoy. I'm telling you, a babies laugh has got to be one of the sweetest sounds on earth! :)

Anonymous anyone?

Well, I don't know if some of y'all have noticed, but I took off Anonymous comments cause some psycho has made it their personal vendetta to stalk me, so I apologize if you've had to read some pretty vulgar language in some of the reply comments by a certain "Anonymous"... :( Whoever it is thinks I'm arrogant and a know-it-all, really ugly, have an ugly son, and husband... I don't think it is anyone I know personally cause they make some comments that would make absolutely no sense if they really did know me. I've done my best to delete the comments as soon as I am notified of the posting so y'all don't have to read that trash, but again, if you read it before I deleted it, then I apologize. I'm sorry to those of you that cannot comment because you don't have an account, but I'm really tired of these ludicrous comments... Seriously, who in their right mind would think Eli is ugly!? ;)

Weight Loss Update

Well, I am very pleased to announce that I have really enjoyed this weight loss experience. I know that probably sounds odd, but I wasn't really sure if I would be able to lose this pregnancy weight, but now I know that I CAN and WILL lose it all! Tonight was my 10th Weigh-in (9 weeks of program) and I lost 4.6 lbs this week!!! That is highly unusual, but I was very happy nonetheless! ;) This brings my total Weight Watchers weight loss to 22.2 lbs!!! My own mini-goal was to lose 20 lbs by the time Ryan got back from Iraq, so this makes me SOOO happy that I've reached that goal and surpassed it and still have some time before he gets back to lose a few more pounds! :) I also passed my 10% goal, which is where you lose 10% of your original weight. It's a way of setting little attainable goals along the way to your ultimate goal, thus not letting yourself get discouraged. I have now lost 50 lbs total from my biggest pregnancy weight, YAY!!! Only have about 25 more pounds till I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight! I'm so glad that I decided to do this... Just think, I would still be a fatty if I wouldn't have gotten the nerve to walk in that meeting 9 weeks ago! :)

Mommy and Eli

Tonight I had my camera at church, so I asked one of the ladies to take a few pics of Eli and I. (I just got my hair cut and the color touched up, so that is why my hair looks a little extra shiny today!) ;) Anyways, hope you enjoy...He smiles so big after I hold him upside down!Don't worry, he's fine! ;) Getting him ready for Daddy!

Happy 2nd, 2nd Anniversary! :)

I cannot believe it's been 2 years since we walked down that aisle and said "I do" for the 2nd time. :) I know it is very cliche, but I truly love him more now than I could have ever imagined. He made me the Happiest woman in the world when we had our Eli, and yet, the best is truly yet to come!

Here is the present he surprised me with even though we agreed to wait to celebrate till he got home! :) The watches are so nice, and I can't wait to get dressed up and wear them together! :) He also got me a little frog which is a little over the top, but still adorable.

I love you Ryan, you are the best! :)

The aforementioned watches and frog...

Both watches up close...

Ryan's watch in all it's blingin' glory...

Look how young we look!

And thin!

Video of Eli Laughing...

Well, since Haylee had her Cheerleader costume for Halloween, she was running around the house "cheering for Eli" with her pom-pom's. Eli could not get enough of it and was just smiling and laughing the whole time. I caught a little of it and thought y'all would like to enjoy, especially Daddy. :) He is smiling about the whole time, but chuckles about 1/3 of the way through. Hope you enjoy...

Eli's first Boo-Boo

Well, last night I was attempting to trim Eli's fingernails. This of course is a dreaded duty considering he absolutely hates it and fights me the whole time. Surprisingly, I had managed to trim almost all of them without too much hassle, but when it came down to the last few nails, he started to really freak out. He was pulling away with all his might and screaming at the top of his lungs and somehow on his thumbnail I ended up cutting him a little too far under the nail. :( He started bleeding a little and he was already screaming, but of course this only added to the volume. Mommy proceeded to kiss his boo-boo many times and after a few hugs and kisses all was well. :) Here are some pics of the dreaded boo-boo. I'm pretty sure this is his first boo-boo that a Doctor didn't give him! :)

I'm sure he will appreciate all of your sympathy. (I will too!)

He looks so pitiful! :)

More Eli Spam...

Took some fun pics of Eli today in the front yard... He was of course his usual cheerful self and was just adorable with his new Gap sweater (clearance!) and other clothes Mom and I found on sale this week... Normally this outfit would have been worn with jeans, but they were dirty, so ignore the non matched pants! :)

Hope you enjoy!

Smiling at Grandma...

Grandma was freaking out cause she thought it was too cold! (rolling eyes) ;)

Everytime a car came by I had to check it out!

I love to stare into space for no apparant reason...

Mommy tells great jokes...

Yes, I am THAT cool.

I suck on my lip when my Mom starts to drive me crazy...

Mommy is just too funny

Too cute...

Eli's First Halloween Party...

Well, today Eli went to his first Halloween Party with his cousin Haylee and a bunch of other little cuties. :) He was invited by Bricen, who has been having a Halloween Bash for the last 3 years. I feel I should disclose that Bricen is 3, so I'm guessing it was his Mommy that actually invited Eli. :)

Anyways, we had a really good time and Eli was such a good boy enduring his Pumpkin Costume like a champ. :) I took quite a few pics, and thought y'all would like to see them. Also, I wanted to take some pics of him in front of these pretty flowers and he just decided he was gonna sit up all the way! It wasn't just the sortof sitting up, but fully straight supporting himself!! He would only do it for like 30 seconds or so, but still that is really good for his age. I'm so proud of our little man! :)

Hope you enjoy...

Slide show I've been working on...

Well, I don't know if I have blogged about it, but I had a little project I was working on for a couple days this past week and thought y'all might like to see it...

It is a pretty simple slide show, but I didn't want it to be very cluttered because the song really speaks for itself. (It's called, My Little Girl, by Tim McGraw) Although it is pretty simple, it still took me a couple days to get it done because I had some issues with the scanner, and I have a very needy 4 month old to worry about too. :) I did it for a friend of Amy's, who's daughter turned 40 on Monday. Here's the link to her blog... Amy's Blog
He didn't tell anyone about it including his wife and son-in-law, so I'm sure it was quite the surprise! Anyways, everyone seemed to like it, and hopefully I achieved my goal of making them cry a little and laugh a lot. :) Let me know what you think...

Never turn your back on a 4 month old...

I decided to sit Eli in the recliner, so I could finish my popcorn. (It's only 1 point, so it is an easy go to snack) He was being really good and just chillin with his toy.
Anyways, I looked back about 30 seconds later and this is what I found... :)
He wasn't fussing or anything, just laying there staring at the TV. (Did I mention the kid will almost break his neck to look at the TV :( Don't worry, I try to limit TV whenever possible) I thought it was really cute, so I thought y'all might like to see it too. :)

More Random pics...

Some great people at church got Eli another bouncer at a yard sale and brought it for him last night at church. Well, he really enjoys it and it has this neat aquarium "tank" on the front that has water in it that bubbles and moves the fishies around. He was enjoying it tonight and looking adorable as usual, so I thought I would take a few pics for Daddy and thought y'all would like to see them too.

Hope you enjoy...

So Happy...He likes to laugh for MommyHere is what he likes to stare at.
(Although if you can tell, he's actually looking at the TV this time!)He's getting so big!
This pic just cracks me up!

This time he's laughing for Grandma

So serious...

Eli trying to sit up...

Just thought y'all would like to see Eli's attempt at sitting up... :) He's tried a few times for a few seconds, but this is the first time he's really been stable at all. I know it is not completely sitting up, but for a barely 4 month old, I think it's pretty good. :)

Hope you enjoy...

Our little TV addict... :)

But Mommy is just so much funnier...

I love this smile...

Laughing even as I topple over. :) (Don't worry, I caught him!)

It's shots time again. :(

Well, if you hadn't noticed, Eli is now officially 4 months old! I cannot believe the time has passed so fast, but our little boy is really growing up fast! :(

Wednesday he had his 4 month check up and shots and he was such a good boy for everything. :) He just smiled and cooed at the Doctor and Nurse and made his Mommy proud. He did pretty good with the shots too considering the Doctor kind of took his time this time around. :( He screamed of course, but then calmed down pretty quickly after I held him. We thought everything was good until we went to church that night and everything seemed to fall apart. I put him in the nursery and within about 5 minutes he started to scream and screamed pretty much non-stop for an hour or so. :( Granted that was with me going to get him after about 10 minutes. :( He wouldn't eat or be pacified in any way. That is so very unlike him, so I knew that he must of been feeling pretty bad. I finally was able to get him to sleep and we headed home. Then Mom got him to eat about an ounce before he collapsed on her shoulder. She brought him down, and he felt so very hot to me. I took his tempature and it was 101.1, so I gave him some Tylenol and put him down. He slept till about 6 am and still had a fever all day of about 99.5-100.4 all day long. :( I called the Doc and he said just keep giving him Tylenol, and if he is still feverish in 24 hours to call him. He really was so pitiful... He would just sit there with a blank look on his face and moan and moan! :(

Thankfully, he woke up feeling much better today and the fever is gone, but seriously getting his shots is no fun for the little guy or anyone else around him for those 1-2 days after! :)

Oh, and he was 18 lbs 2 oz and 25 3/4 inches long. :) That puts him in the 95th percentile for weight and 65th percentile for height. I'm sure that will even out in time, but he really doesn't look like a short, fat kid, I promise! ;)
